SC asks Centre to prevent assault on Kashmiris, minorities

New Delhi: The apex court on Friday has directed the Centre and 11 states to take prompt action to prevent assault on Kashmiris in the wake of Pulwama terror incident.

The highest court of the land has also issued directive for protecting the interest of other minorities and prevent assault and social boycott of Kashmiris.

The directive of the Supreme Court has come after advocate Tariq Adeeb filed a petition on Thursday requesting it for an urgent hearing of the plea.

Adeeb has cited the tweet of Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy who called for a boycott of Kashmiris after the terror attack in Pulwama in which 40 CRPF troopers were martyred.
