Sasikala granted parole to visit ailing husband
Chennai: VK Sasikala, recently removed as the chief of Tamil Nadu’s ruling AIADMK, was on Friday granted a five-day parole to meet her ailing husband.
Sasikala had on Thursday submitted an emergency parole form along with a medical certificate of her ailing husband M Natarajan.
Sasikala is serving a prison term in Bengaluru since February after the Supreme Court upheld her conviction by a special court in a disproportionate assets case.
Sasikala’s husband, 74-year-old chronic liver disease patient, was stable after a seven-and-a-half-hour kidney and liver transplant surgery that began late on Tuesday night, according to reports.
