Khurda: Police on Wednesday detained three persons, including the mastermind, involved in the Rs 60 lakh loot case from two employees of a cash management firm near Gediapalli under Begunia police limits.
While one of the accused has been identified as Manoranjan Balaram, driver of I&T private company, the identity of two others is yet to be ascertained.
Reportedly, the bag containing some cash was seized from Manoranjan’s relative house, hidden in a banana plantation, near Gediapalli road.
The mastermind and other associate were apprehended from Baideswar area in the district today.
On October 8, four unidentified bike-borne miscreants allegedly looted over Rs 60 lakh cash from two employees of Radiant Cash Management Service Pvt Ltd at gunpoint near Gediapalli.
Following the incident, the victims lodged a complaint with Begunia police and a manhunt was launched to nab the culprits. Though police have arrested three accused one is still at large.
