Angul: A day after the Wildlife Institute of India (WII) team decided not to relocate the Royal Bengal tigress Sundari to any other sanctuary, locals have again alleged that the big cat again killed a cow today. The incident has been reported from Lehedi village in Angul district.

The matter came to light after the locals spotted Sundari in the village taking a cow into the forest. On being informed, the forest department officials reached and launched a probe into the matter.

According to sources, Sundari was allegedly spotted taking away a cow tied in front of a house in the village. She attacked the cow and took the animal into the forest, alleged villagers.

Reportedly, Sundari has been spotted in nearby Hatidhara Forest at Athamalik Banakhanda. The movement of the tigress is been monitored.

Notably, from past few days, Sundari had allegedly mauled a woman including some cows in near Hatibari forest.
