Revenue inspector held for graft
Cuttack: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday arrested a revenue inspector for allegedly accepting Rs 3,000 bribe from a person for providing the inquiry report of a mutation case.
The accused was identified as Kishore Chandra Nayak, revenue inspector (RI) of Badagaon under Khariar tehsil in Nuapada district.
According to sources, Nayak had demanded the illegal gratification from Muralidhar Rana for providing the inquiry report of a mutation case to the local tehsildar. Later, Rana had lodged a complaint with the vigilance.
The vigilance officials arrested Nayak red-handed while accepting the bribe from the complainant. A case has been registered in this regard.
