Retired Judge to probe Jayalalithaa death


Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Monday appointed retired Madras high court judge Justice A. Arumugaswamy to probe the death of late Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami had announced the government`s decision to set up an inquiry commission to be headed by a retired High Court judge to go into the death of the AIADMK supremo.

The order came a month after chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami had announced that his government would set up an inquiry panel headed by a retired judge to probe into the circumstances leading to the demise of Jayalalithaa.
