Rahul targets PM Modi over Rourkela hospital, Dharmendra Pradhan hits back

Bhubaneswar: Political blame game has erupted in Odisha after Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday engaged in a war of words on twitter over delay in upgradation of the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in Rourkela managed by SAIL to a super-specialty hospital.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to people of Odisha to upgrade the hospital during his first visit to the state on April 1, 2015 after taking over the country’s reign.

Rahul targeted PM Modi for his “broken promise” of upgrading the hospital in Rourkela and announced a fund-raising to do the same and “shame the PM”.

Rahul took to Twitter and wrote, “On 1st April, 2015 the PM played an April Fools’ day joke on the people of Orissa, as seen in this video. The Congress party has begun a fund raise to shame the PM into keeping the promise he made. Please contribute generously using this link: https://contribute.inc.in/fundraiser/Odishahospital.”

The Congress scion’s Twitter triggered a sharp reaction from Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan who responded and said the Congress chief had manufactured a new lie.

Rs 200 crore has been allotted for the Hospital & DPR has been submitted, but when has Rahul ever bothered about facts!, he Twitted in his reply.
After all kinds of scams, interesting to see a new scam in the form of fund-raising, he added.
