New Delhi: In a fresh attack on PM Modi, the Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday criticised that the present dispensation was not willing to disclose the price of aircraft, purchased in the Rafale deal, even in the apex court.
In his latest tweet, Gandhi said everybody knows about the deal, but the Modi government was not willing to disclose in the Supreme Court terming the deal as ‘national secret’.
The PM knows.
Anil Ambani knows.
Hollande & Macron know.
Every journalist now knows.
Defence Ministry babus know.
All of Dassault knows.
All Dassault’s competitors know.

Gandhi’s comments came in the wake of media reports that the 36 fighter crafts were bought from the French company Dassault as high as forty per cent than the offered price. The media report quoting defence sources involved directly in the contract negotiation with the French company said the winning bid was much higher than the offered price earlier.
The apex court on Wednesday asked the government to submit an affidavit on the problem relating to making the price of fighter aircrafts public. The direction of the apex court came after attorney general K K Venugopal was reluctant to disclose the price and other details of Rafale deal.
The Supreme Court has also asked the government to provide details in a sealed cover to prevent it from being leaked.
It may be recalled that former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha, former BJP leader Arun Shourie and senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan are also critical of the deal and sought a detailed probe into the matter.
