President Kovind expresses concern for cyclone-hit Odisha, Andhra


Bhubaneswar: President of India Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday expressed serious concern for the people of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh affected by the very severe cyclonic storm ‘Titli’ that wrecked havoc in several parts of the two states.

Taking to the Twitter, Kovind wrote: “Thoughts with families, especially children, in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh who have affected by Cyclone Titli. Confident local authorities and relief agencies will rise to occasion to help fellow citizens. The entire nation is with you”.



Notably, gusty wind and incessant downpour under the influence of very severe cyclonic storm ‘Titli’ caused widespread damages to properties in several districts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

While six persons were reported missing in Odisha’s Ganjam, the cyclone claimed eight lives in Andhra Pradesh.
