Ponzi scam accused Subhankar held for misbehaving with woman
Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Sunday night arrested Seashore ponzi scam accused Subhankar Nayak on charges of allegedly misbehaving a woman and assaulting her son.
The matter came to light after, the woman and her son lodged a complaint against Nayak with the Kharavela Nagar police last evening.
Acting on the complaint, police picked up Nayak from his Chandrama apartment near Bhubaneswar Railway Station in the night and arrested him after interrogation.
A per the complaint Nayak has been harassing the woman for a long time. On Sunday, Nayak came to the woman’s house had misbehaved with her. Besides, he also beat up her son.
However, Nayak have refuted the allegations stating that he has no links with the case.
Police have registered a case against Nayak under section 354, 341, 323, 427 and 294 of the IPC.
Notably, Nayak was arrested by the CBI on November 18, 2014, for his alleged link in the Seashore ponzi scam. Later, the Orissa High Court granted him bail on August 1, 2017.
