Police arrest one accused of Odia techie murder case in Bengaluru
Bhubaneswar: Bengaluru police today arrested an accused in connection with the stabbing of a techie from Odisha to death here on Monday.
A police team today spotted Kartik the prime accused and his friend, both involved in killing the engineer from Odisha, however, succeeded to catch Kartik while the another one managed to give police a slip.
Pranay Misra, a 28-year-old techie was working with Accenture hailing from Bhubaneshwar, was on his way to meet his girlfriend on his scooter when two motorcycle-borne youths accosted and stabbed him multiple times near Chocolate factory on Tavarekere Main Road on Monday.
He was attacked after his two-wheeler scraped against another belonging to Kartik and his friend on the outskirts of the city. He tried to escape but was chased and killed.
Police later described the killing as a case of a road rage.
