PNB fraud: Interpol’s red corner notice to Nirav Modi’s sister
New Delhi: The Interpol has issued a red corner notice (RCN) against PNB fraud kingpin Nirav Modi’s sister Purvi Modi in connection with the alleged two billion dollar Punjab National Bank money-laundering case.
Purvi Modi is a Belgian national. The RCN against her was requested by the Enforcement Directorate.
The notice, which acts as an international arrest warrant, states that Purvi Deepak Modi, 44, is required on charges of “money laundering”.
The RCN, which is issued to seek the location and arrest of wanted persons with a view to extradition or similar lawful action, followed ED’s request to the Interpol made earlier through the CBI.
The ED wants her to join investigations to take its investigation in the case forward, they added.
