New Delhi: Cricketer-turned-politician and BJP MP candidate from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir said he wanted to take Prime Minister’s legacy forward.
The saffron party MP candidate from East Delhi held a road show on Tuesday ahead of filing his nomination papers.
Gambhir has replaced sitting BJP MP Maheish Girri.
He will be pitted against Congress candidate Arvinder Singh Lovely and Aam Aadmi Party’s Atishi.
Gambhir said: “I really want to contribute something to the country and whatever our Prime Minister has done in the last five years”.
I want to take that legacy forward, he added.
Gambhir has been quite vocal on Twitter in lending support to the BJP and the policies of Narendra Modi-led dispensation.
