Paradip murder: Police raid Mahima house, hotel, farm house


Bhubaneswar: Police simultaneously raided industrialist Mahima Mishra’s house, farmhouse and hotel on Saturday in connection with the Paradip Port Seaways Shipping Logistics Limited (SSLL) manager Mahendra Swain murder.

The raid was conducted by Jagatsinghpur police on Saturday afternoon on Mahima’s Cuttack Odia Bazar house, his Nischintakoili farm house and Bhubaneswar Shahid Nagar based hotel Empires. Three teams of Jagatsinghpur carried out the raids.

Earlier, on the request of Jagatsinghpur Police, the Commissionerate Police had cancelled the fire arm license of Mahima and his son Charchit on November 23. Police had earlier also raided Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL) offices in Paradip and OSL planes and helicopter at Bhubaneswar airport.

After arresting main accused Rakesh Choubey in Swain’s murder case police had confirmed Mahima’s involvement in the murder.

Swain was shot dead in Paradip on October 26.
