OTET question paper leak will be probed: S&ME Minister
Bhubaneswar: Expressing serious concern over OTET question paper leak today, School & Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra said, “The matter will be probed and action will be taken after departmental inquiry.”
While asking the aspirants not to be disappointed, the S&ME Minister said that the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted again.
On the other hand, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) secretary Ramashish Hazra informed that the board has written to the Crime Branch seeking a probe into the question paper leak.
Earlier today, BSE President Jahan Ara Begum announced the cancellation of OTET examination after reports claimed the question paper of “Child Development and Pedagogy” subject were doing rounds in social media.
Examinees who appeared for the test this morning, in the first sitting from 10 am to 12.30, also confirmed that the leaked question papers are similar to the original one.
After the news spread like wildfire across the state, ABVP activist gheraoed Minister Badri Narayan Patra’s residence in Bhubaneswar. The activists also entered into a scuffle with police while trying to enter the Minister’s residence.
