Orissa HC defers hearing of Pravat Biswal’s bail plea to October 17
Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today deferred the hearing of arrested BJD MLA Pravat Biswal’s bail plea to October 17.
The Court has asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to submit the case diary (CD).
The Choudwar-Cuttack MLA, who has been arrested in connection with the Seashore chit fund link, had moved the High Court yesterday seeking bail on health grounds after his bail plea was rejected at The Special CBI Court in Bhubaneswar and Bhubaneswar SDJM Court.
The Special CBI Court in Bhubaneswar had rejected his bail on September 23, following which he had approached the Bhubaneswar SDJM Court seeking bail citing health reasons, which was rejected on September 26.
The legislator is currently undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
