Cuttack: Intensifying its operation to rescue missing children of Odisha, the Odisha Police here on Wednesday directed the rescue teams to carry out the second phase of Operation Paree-II with specific inputs in other states from September 16.
Eight composite teams of police and Department of Women and Child Development (W&CD) have been formed like previous year for coordinated approach for recovery of missing children from various states like Delhi, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand etc.
The teams were given interactive inputs today in Crime Branch Headquarters by officers of W&CD Department, Labour Department in addition to CB officers.
These teams will be on special mission from September 16-30th in awarded States on basis of available inputs. Emphasis has been laid on integration of recovered children to mainstream and subsequent rehabilitation etc., in collaboration with all stakeholders.
The Odisha Police has launched Operation Paree-II to recover missing children in two phases from September 1, focusing inside State. According to reports, on the end of the 11th day of the mission the cops have rescued 1497 children and the drive would continue till September 15.
According to reports, in the second phase from September 16 to September 30, eight teams of police personnel along with officials of W&CD Department will proceed to various the assigned States.
