Bhubaneswar: The Pradesh Congress Election Committee on Wednesday cleared the candidate list for the ensuing Assembly and Lok Sabha polls in Odisha.
Soon after the meeting, OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik sais that the list of all finalised candidates has been sent to Central Election Committee.
The final list will be published after scrutiny and approval by the Central Election Committee, Patnaik said and added that preferences are being given to youth, women and candidates with a high probability chance of winning.
AICC Odisha in-charge Jitendra Singh, Odisha PCC president Niranjan Patnaik, senior party leaders of the state and PEC members were present at the meeting at Congress Bhawan here.
