Jeypore: The aircraft of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today was diverted to Jeypore airstrip in Koraput district instead of Lanjigarh in Kalahandi district.
The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) stated bad weather to be the reason behind the diversion.
The CM will leave forRayagadaa shortly by chopper and attend the scheduled programme one hour late, official sources informed.
According to reports, the CM is scheduled to visit Rayagada district to inaugurate a slew of developmental projects and lay the foundation stones for others.
Patnaik was scheduled to go to Rayagada in a helicopter after arriving at Lanjigarh.
According to the schedule, Patnaik will inaugurate 89 projects worth Rs 737.42 crore and lay the foundation stones for other 48 projects worth Rs 532.58 crore in the blocks of the district.
Besides, the CM will also address a Mission Shakti Mahasamabesh (Convention) where he will interact with members of women self-help groups.
