Odisha-born Sarita Pattnaik crowned as Mrs India Worldwide
Bhubaneswar: Here is good news for the state, an Odisha-born woman has won the Mrs India Worldwide title at the finale of the contest held in New Jersey on Saturday evening.
Sarita Pattnaik was representing the United States of America at the second edition of Mrs India Worldwide 2017. She was crowned from among 35 contestants of Indian descent participating from different countries.
Sarita, a mother of two, succeeded last year’s winner Namita Dodwadkarv of the USA. The contestants walked the ramp at the Royal Albert’s Palace, Fords in New Jersey.
While Sarita was crowned as the Mrs India Worldwide, Mrs India Mauritius Nishi Singh was the first runners-up and Mrs India UAE Radha Shah clinched as the second runners-up.
Professionally an interior designer, Sarita is married to Satya Mohapatra of Bhadrak and the couple has been residing in Atlanta, Georgia with their two daughters.
She is the daughter to Hariranjan and Geetanjali Pattnaik, residing in Bhubaneswar.
