Non-functioning reclaimer machine disrupts production at Nalco’s Damanjodi plant
Jeypore: The non-functioning of a reclaimer machine has disrupted production activity at Nalco’s Damanjodi plant in Koraput district in Odisha causing huge loss to the National Aluminium Company (NALCO).
According to reports, out of two reclaimer machines, one went non-functional on Saturday night, following which the production of Bauxite has disrupted at the plant while one is engaged in refining.
It has already caused a loss of around Rs 100 crore to the production unit, sources said.
However, the company has informed nothing in this regard.
Notably, a reclaimer is a large machine used to recover bulk material such as ores and cereals from a stockpile and a stacker is used to stack the material.
