Bhubaneswar: HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones on Tuesday announced the launch of Nokia 6.1 plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus in India. Both the handsets will be available on online platforms like Flipkart and Nokia.com/Phones.
Ajey Mehta, HMD Global, Vice President and country head, India said, “The launch of Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 5.1 Plus represents an important milestone for us in India. We have a strong presence in the offline space and with these phones today, we are strengthening our reach to our online consumers and their needs.”
Both the phones comes with a notched display, a glass back and dual-rear cameras.
While Nokia 6.1 Plus is priced at Rs 15,999 and will be available by the end of August, price of Nokia 5.1 will be announced in September.
Nokia 6.1 specifications
The phone is the first smart phone under Nokia that comes with a display notch. The highlight of the phone includes a glass back, and a 5.8 inch FHD= 19:9 display with 2.5 Gorilla glass 3 protection. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 4 GB RAM, 64GB storage and micro SD support. It is supported by 3060 mAH battery. The phone comes with Android Oreo 8.1.
Nokia 5.1 plus specifications
It has a huge 5.9-inch IPS LCD display. It is powered by a Mediatek Helio P60 chipset and comes with 3GB or 4GB RAM variant and 64GB of storage in both. The phone supports a 3,060 mAH battery and runs on Android Oreo 8.1.
Earlier, HMD Global has launched a series of new gadgets including, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 12.1 and Nokia 3.1.
