No Students’ Union Election in BJB College, protest against sine die
Bhubaneswar: Ahead of students’ union election in Odisha, where the aspirant candidates are busy in filing their nominations today, the authorities of the BJB Autonomous College have declared sine die and cancelled students’ union election for this year citing ongoing tension on the college premises on the other hand.
Consequently, tension erupted in BJB College after the announcement made by the college authorities.
The students staging protest and blocked road disrupting vehicular movement near Kalpana square area over the cancellation of students’ union election.
Earlier today, Principal of the BJB College Mohammed Nawaz Hasan said the college will remain closed sine die until further orders. Students were asked to vacate hostels by Saturday evening.
Notably, on Thursday evening, some unidentified miscreants hurled two low-intensity crude bombs near a girls’ hostel in the BJB College premises.
