Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Police on Sunday said that no incident of harassment against Kashmiris has been reported from the state yet. However, the department is still on high alert, informed the officials.
The Odisha Police has assured to provide protection to Kashmiris in the state. The State police department also confirmed the news on their Twitter handle.

Notably, incidents of violence and alleged harassment against Kashmiri students were reported across India on Saturday in the aftermath of the dastardly Pulwama terror attack.
Following several reports of threats, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs issued an advisory to all States and Union Territories to take necessary measures to ensure the safety of Kashmiri students and residents living across the country.
In view of reports of alleged harassment, the CRPF has launched a helpline-CRPF Madadgaar with the Twitter handle @CRPFmadadgaar.
Students and the general public, presently out of Jammu and Kashmir, can contact on 24×7 toll-free number 14411 or SMS at 7082814411 for speedy assistance in case they face any harassment.
