NKS observes 2-hr bandh across Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Navnirman Krushak Sangathan (NKS) on Friday hold 2-hr bandh at different places across the state demanding waiver on agriculture loans and price, prestige, and pension for farmers and protesting the killing of farmers in Madhya Pradesh.
The agitation started at 10 am continued till 12 pm. All national highways and railway routes across the State had been blocked by the farmers.
The activists staged rail roko at Master Canteen railway station and also road blockaded at Master Canteen Square led by NKS advisor Soumya Ranjan Patnaik.
Police picked up several agitators and took them into preventive custody.
“If the State and Central government didn’t took any step within six months, the agitation will be intensified and we have instructed to stall bus and train services”, said State Convenor of NKS Akshay Kumar.
