Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sanctioned Rs 33.71 crore for execution of 1,287 projects in 166 gram panchayats (GPs) of nine blocks in seven districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash programme.
The CM interacted with the people of Rajkanika block in Kendrapara district, Gaislet and Padampur blocks in Bargarh district, Bangiriposi and Kaptipada blocks in Mayurbhanj district, Redhakhol block in Sambalpur district, Narayanpatna block in Koraput district, Raikia block in Kandhamal district and R. Udaygiri block in Gajapati district through video conferencing and approved the projects. The sanctioned projects would expedite the development process in the rural areas, the CM said.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 4.01 crore has been earmarked for 200 projects in 29 GPs of Rajkanika block, Rs 4.33 crore for 178 projects in 19 GPs of Gaislet block, Rs 4.35 crore for 125 projects in 22 GPs of Padampur block, Rs 4.55 crore for 155 projects in 19 GPs of Bangiriposi block, Rs 6.49 crore for 164 projects in 26 GPs of Kaptipada block and Rs 3.18 crore for 187 projects in 14 GPs of Redhakhol block.
Similarly, Rs 4.35 crore has been sanctioned for 125 projects in 22 GPs of Narayanpatna block, Rs 2.40 crore for 100 projects in 12 GPs of Raikia block and Rs 2.04 crore for 51 projects in 17 GPs of R. Udaygiri block.
With today’s programme, the Chief Minister has sanctioned 38,618 rural projects worth Rs 952 crore for 4,220 gram panchayats under 193 blocks.
