Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sanctioned Rs 17.58 crore for 102 gram panchayats (GPs) of six blocks in the state under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana.
The CM interacted with the people through video conferencing from the Secretariat here and approved 777 projects to be implemented in 102 GPs of Lanjigarh block in Kalahandi district, Turekela of Bolangir, Rengali in Sambalpur, Tikabali in Kandhamal, Bahalda in Mayurbhanj and Nuagarh in Gajapati district.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 3 crore will be spent for 219 projects in 25 panchayats of Lanjigarh block, Rs 3 crore for 150 projects in 19 panchayats of Tureikela block, Rs 3.77 crore for 157 projects in 16 panchayats of Rengali block and Rs 2.53 crore for 85 projects in 11 panchayats of Tikabali block.
Similarly, the CM sanctioned 117 projects to be implemented at a cost of Rs 3 crore in 12 panchayats ofBahalda block while Rs 2.28 crore has been earmarked for 58 projects in 19 panchayats of Nuagarh block.
The CM advised the people and the block representatives of these districts to ensure quality work and timely completion of the sanctioned projects.
So far the CM has sanctioned 30,593 projects worth 746.72 crore for 3299 panchayats of 145 blocks in the state.
Chief Secretary, development commissioner, MPs, MLAs, collectors and senior officials of the concerned departments, among others were present.
