Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday praised the dedication and efforts of an assistant executive engineer who joined his team for Fani restoration work defying pain induced from post-dialysis.
The Odisha CM acknowledged Subash Jena for “his devotion towards duty” and also stated that the engineer “has set a brilliant example in placing service before self.”
Notably, Jena, an Assistant executive engineer with Division II of the Engineering Wing of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC). Jena ignored his post-dialysis pain and joined the BMC team, worked tirelessly to rebuild the ravaged state capital after the severe cyclonic storm Fani hit it on May 3.
He is among a group of engineers under 13 sector officials who are on the job to revive Bhubaneswar.
