Naveen lays foundations, dedicates projects worth Rs 618.66 Cr in Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid foundation stones and inaugurated a basket of projects worth Rs 618.66 crore during his Jharsuguda visit today.
The Chief Minister departed from Bhubaneswar Airport at 11 am and arrived at Veer Surendra Sai Airport here at 12 pm.
Patnaik then proceeded to the site of Cancer Care Hospital near District Sub-Jail and inaugurated six lift irrigation projects of Malda-III, K. Kantapali-II for Jharsuguda Sadar and Lakhanpur blocks built at an estimated cost of Rs 32 lakh.
The Odisha CM also inaugurated two projects cost Rs 13 crore— 2 X 5 MVA 33/11 KV Grid Stations, meant for Durlaga and Arda.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation stones for Cancer Care Hospital to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 145 crore, four mega water supply projects for Jharsuguda Sadar, Kolabira, Kirmira and Laikera blocks to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 388 crore.
Besides, Naveen laid the foundation stones for railway over bridge at Choukipada (estimated project cost Rs 35.62 crore), Diagnostic Centre to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 15 crore and minor irrigation project at Amati to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 18.22 crore.
This apart, the Chief Minister also distributed assets and benefits to the beneficiaries under various developmental schemes. As a part of social empowerment, he distributed Rs 1 crore digital empowerment incentive to 3489 women self-help groups (SHGs), social security benefits to 30 beneficiaries, assistance to 1422 Nirman Shramik and land pattas to 1002 landless.
The Odisha CM then proceeded to the meeting place at Amlipali Ground and addressed the public gathering.
