Naveen Launches Projects Worth Rs 1100 Cr In Ganjam, Transfers Fund To KALIA Beneficiaries
Ganjam: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched 231 projects and 48 proposed projects worth Rs 1100 crore during the visit to his home-turf today.
The Odisha CM arrived at Rangeilunda at around 12.05 pm amid tight security to address the KALIA farmers’ convention here.
As per reports, Patnaik inaugurated 231 projects worth Rs 716 crore and laid foundation stones for 48 proposed ventures worth Rs 296 crore
Then, the Chief Minister distributed agricultural assets and financial assistance under ‘KALIA’ scheme to around 25,000 farmers from 22 blocks of Ganjam district.
Addressing the huge gathering, Naveen said, “I welcome you all to this program. I have gifted you projects worth Rs 1100 crore. I have also sanctioned funds to sharecroppers under the ‘KALIA’ Yojana and the beneficiaries will receive the assistance money directly in their bank accounts. I congratulate you all on this occasion and I hope you are happy.”
Earlier today, the Odisha CM attended a programme at his residence (Naveen Niwas) in which, several Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders of Jajpur’s Binjharpur constituency along with several of their supporters joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
According to reports, Patnaik is scheduled to leave on a two-day visit to New Delhi to discuss Odisha’s pending issues with the Central Government. He is slated to hold a meeting with officials of Central and State government at Odisha Bhawan tomorrow.
