Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday inaugurated a training programme for farmers at Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) here.
Two farmers from a panchayat will be imparted training at OUAT about modern agricultural practices under the programme who will train other farmers in their respective areas to implement the same for enhancing agricultural production in the state, Naveen said on the occasion.
The programme will cover farmers of all 314 blocks of the state. Farmers from different blocks will be provided various agricultural training here every day. As many as 52 farmers from Bolangir block had participated in the programme today.
Two farmers from each panchayat of a block will be participated in the training programme.
Naveen also interacted with the farmers present during the inaugural ceremony of the programme and assured them that all the issues faced by them will be addressed soon.
