After Naveen, Damodar Rout slams BJP for failing to fulfill 2014 poll promises in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: A day after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik fired salvo at the BJP-led Union Government without naming it during the party’s Jan Sampark Padayatra, BJD vice-president and Agriculture Minister Damodar Rout on Thursday also slammed the Narendra Modi Government.
Rout alleged that the Centre is spreading false and malicious propaganda against the BJD while it has failed miserably to fulfill the promises it made to the people before the 2014 elections.
“The Central Government has failed in all fronts. The Union Government’s incapability has been proved as it has failed to create 2 crore new employment opportunities for the youth as promised before 2014 general elections”, said Rout.
Similarly, it had promised to hike the minimum support price of paddy by one and half times. It had also assured the people to bring back the black money deposited in the foreign banks. But after coming to power it did not keep it promises, Rout said.
