Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sanctioned 1,869 projects to be implemented at a cost of Rs 47.24 crore in 10 blocks of nine districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana.
The CM interacted with people from Khurda, Puri, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Balangir, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Mayurbhanj districts through video conferencing from the state secretariat. Apprised of their demands, he promptly sanctioned the projects for 209 gram panchayats (GPs) in these districts.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 5.26 crore has been earmarked for 195 projects in 21 GPs of Begunia block in Puri district, Rs 9.78 crore for 426 projects in 31 GPs of Gop block, Rs 7.34 crore for 315 projects in 29 GPs of Rajnagar block and Rs 5.98 crore for 219 projects in 25 GPs of Ghasipura block.
Similarly, Rs 3.59 crore has been sanctioned for 155 projects in 25 GPs of Puintala block, Rs 3.99 crore for 169 projects in 21 GPs of Bisamcuttack block, Rs 4 crore for 107 projects in 20 GPs of Gumma block, Rs 2.80 crore for 69 projects in 14 GPs of Baliguda block, Rs 3 crore for 101 projects in 10 GPs of Tiringi block and Rs 3.30 crore for 113 projects in 13 GPs of Bisoi block.
With today’s sanctions, the Chief Minister has approved a total of Rs 793.96 crore for 3508 GPs under 155 blocks under the Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana.
