Naveen Approves 108 Posts in Women & Child Development Dept


Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday approved 108 posts in the Department of Women and Child Development for improvement in the delivery system.

According to a press note, the Odisha Government has approved the creation of 93 posts of Programme Officers at CDPO level at Sub-Division and District levels, 13 posts of District Social Welfare Officers and 2 posts of Deputy Director-cum-Deputy Secretary at the State level.

Announcing the news posts, Patnaik said, “The State Government attaches great importance to women and child welfare and the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) plays a key role in this regard.”

“The decision to create the additional posts was taken in view of reinforcing human resources both at the District and Sub-Divisional level for effective management of activities in convergence with various other Departments and for effective monitoring of the delivery of services,” The Odisha CM further stated.
