Siliguri: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that Mamata Banerjee is a speed breaker in path of West Bengal’s progress and development.

Modi also took a dig at the Congress over its manifesto that talks about reviewing some clauses of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA). He said it acts like a “shield” for the security forces in the fight against terrorists.

Scrapping of the Act will be dangerous for the country, the Prime Minister said.

Modi said :“They (the Congress) want our defence forces to be helpless…their hands and feet tied.”

Modi said  the Congress and its allies are sympathising with Pakistan.
