Missing Ratna Bhandar keys: Probe panel directs SJTA to file affidavit
Puri: Justice Raghubir Das commission, probing the missing of Ratna Bhandar (treasury) keys of Jagannath temple, on Monday directed the the temple administration to submit an affidavit by August 7.
The commission conducted the first hearing over the issue at the Circuit house. However, the hearing remained incomplete as the the temple administration failed to submit details information regarding the issue in the form of an affidavit during the hearing. The commission directed the temple administration to submit affidavit in the next hearing slated for August 7.
Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) chief Pradip Mohapatra, collector Arvind Agarwal, additional collector, superintendent of police, among others were present during the hearing.
“Earlier, four affidavits were filed pertaining to the issue. However, those were not based on any authentic data. Besides, no affidavit was submitted by the government during today’s hearing for which the the hearing remained incomplete. I have directed the administration to submit the affidavit first. The hearing will be conducted after submission of the affidavit and further action will be taken,” Justice Raghubir Das said.
