New Delhi: BSP chief Mayawati on Monday announced breaking ties with SP in all future elections. She has blamed post-poll conduct of the Samajwadi Party (SP) for this.
Taking to her twitter handle, the BSP supremo said the conduct of SP after the Lok Sabha elections forced BSP to think whether it is possible to defeat the BJP by joining hands with the SP. She said it is not possible to defeat the saffron party with the help of SP.
Therefore, BSP will contest all the future election on its own, she added.
Mayawati said in the interest of the party and the movement, she had forgotten all issues and concerns it had with the SP despite its anti-Dalit and anti-BSP decisions. The alliance was for the larger interest of the public, she added.
The BSP supremo claimed that SP’s voters did not support the alliance in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls. The BSP and the SP had contested 38 parliamentary seats each out of 80 seats.
