Nuapada: Nuapada Block Education Officer (BEO) filed a complaint against five teachers of two high schools at Boden police station on Saturday regarding the Matric question paper viral case.
While a case has been registered against four examination centre Superintendents and four invigilators of Karamangala and Gopinathpur high schools under Boden block of Nuapada district, FIRs are yet to be filed against the responsible staff of Sudarshan Vidya Bhawan in Dhenkanal district and Bandhugaon High School in Koraput district, sources said.
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Friday also suspended four exam centre Superintendents and four invigilators after the question paper of Odia language went viral on social media.
Earlier yesterday, School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra rubbished the reports stating that mobile phones were completely prohibited at the exam centres.
Following this, members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) tried to forcibly enter the official residence of School & Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra on Friday afternoon.
They allegedly scuffled with the police personnel after being prevented from entering the premises of the minister’s residence. At least 50 members of the students’ organisation were detained after they entered into a clash with the police personnel.
But, in the evening, the BSE accepted that the question paper went out of the centres after the commencement of the Odia exam. BSE president Jahan Ara Begum ordered to file cases against the responsible authorities and teachers.
Notably, MIL (Odia) question paper surfaced on WhatsApp and went viral an hour after the commencement of the exam yesterday.
