Maoists torch nine bauxite-laden trucks in Jharkhand


Rourkela: A group of 10 Maoists armed with weapons set at least nine trucks on fire in Lohardaga near Jharkhand-Odisha border today.

The incident occurred when the CPI (Maoists) enforced Jharkhand bandh. The rebels carried out the destruction on Kisko road in neighbouring state.

According to sources, the rebels were observing bandh in the state. The trucks were loaded with bauxites.

Following the incident, the security forces intensified the combing operation in the area.
