Maoists calls for 1 day bandh in 5 states

Bhubaneswar : The Maoists have called for a day long bandh on Thursday in 5 states including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra, protesting against Chitrakonda anti-naxal operations which led to slain of 28 extremists in Malkangiri district in October 24 last month.

In a letter signed by the Party spokesperson Pratap, it is said that for the first time the party has lost so many members of senior cadre but further informed that such misfortune would not weaken them neither deter them from doing their tasks.

In contrast, he allegedly warned to take revenge particularly up against the surrendered Maoists who helped security personnel in the operation adding that since the captured extremists knew about the encampment beforehand they might have given clues to the police.
