Maoist cadre surrenders in Odisha-Ch’garh border


Malkangiri: A Maoist cadre identified as Pahad Singh surrendered before the Durg police in Chattisgarh, the police said today.

The rebel was operating in the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border areas and the Chhattisgarh government had announced a reward of 25 lakh on his head. Pahad Singh was an active member of Special zonal Maharastra-Madhya Pradesh-Chattisgarh committee.

According to police, Pahad Singh was involved in many terror activities in Dantewada district. Singh will be rehabilitated according to the surrender policy of Chhattisgarh government, police said.
