New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation on ‘Mann ki Baat’ has advised to work together to end single use of plastic.
He urged the people to work on it from the Gandhi Jayati Day. The Prime Minister said when the country is celebrating Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th anniversary, we not only dedicate an open defecation free India to Mahatma, but also an India that is plastic-free also.
PM Modi on Sunday addressed the nation through his monthly radio programme ‘Mann ki Baat’. This is his first radio address after abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir through the revocation of Article 370.
This is Prime Minister’s third radio address to the nation after he came to power for the second term earlier this year.
In the first episode on June 30 after the May election results, PM Modi had discussed topics such as emergency, water crisis and International Yoga Day.
