Bhubaneswar: Cheif Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each for the next of kin of deceased and free treatment for all injured in the Malkangiri road mishap today.
The Odisha CM took to the Twitter and expressed deep grief over the death of five persons in the tragic road mishap in Malkangiri this morning which killed at least five and injured several others.
Patnaik also prayed for early recovery of the victims, who are currently undergoing treatment at the Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

According to reports, at least five persons have been killed and 10 others left critically hurt after a pick-up van they were travelling in overturned near Pangama in Malkangiri district.
The mishap occurred when the pickup van carrying 25-30 persons was going towards Mathili. The driver lost control over the wheels and the vehicle turned turtle on the Malkangiri-Gobindpalli road.
