Bhubaneswar: The Mada Mukti Yuva Bahini (MMYB) organized a ‘Yuva Sambad’ activity to chalk out the strategy for implementation of the prohibition of liquor act in Odisha.
More than 500 of its volunteers from different districts joined the day-long Youth dialogue event. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by President of Milita Odisha Nisha Nibarana Abhijana (MONNA) Padma Charan Nayak.
Speaking on the occasion, Mada Mukti Yuva Bahini Convenor Satyabrata Prusty said, “Liquor is destroying thousands of families in villages across the state. Govt’s claim that it gets revenue from it, is absolutely false. Rather it is losing revenues manifold. This govt is shamelessly increasing liquor shops every year. This has shaken off the financial and social backbone of Odisha.”
He further said, “Through Yuva Sambad, we have reached and made dialogue with youths across the state. We are committed to bringing like-minded youths together to pressurise govt to implement the prohibition of liquor act in Odisha ”
Among others present on the occasion were Tarakant Nayak, Puspalata Jena, Kanchan Bala Jati, Lalatendu Patra, Indumati Sahu, Rajesh Deo, Saumya Ranjan Mohanty, Akshaya Routray, Samash Sarangi, Abhijit Patra, Malay Tripathy, Kanhu Charan Behura and members of MONNA.
