Low pressure over Bay of Bengal turns into deep depression


Bhubaneswar: A low pressure formed over the Bay of Bengal has turned into a deep depression on saturday, informed the local weather office here on Saturday.

Currently based at around 800 km south east of Gopalpur, the low pressure might trigger rains in various parts of state in coming few days.

The office said since the storm is likely to hit Myanmar coast by October 23, its exact condition and impact on the state be could be ascertained by October 24.

Earlier mercury seemed to lessen in most parts of state with the offset of Monsoon winds from state but due to low pressure followed by cloudy skies some stations recorded drop in plummeting of temperature.
