Mumbai: The trailer of the upcoming Bollywood flick ‘Love Sonia’ directed by Tabrez Noorani had left the audience to shift their attention towards the society’s much-needed topic ‘human trafficking’.
The film is all about the struggle and survival of 17-year-old girl who is trapped in the vicious world of human trafficking. The makers of the movie had released the trailer on August 23.
The film features newcomer Mrunal Thakur. Alongside it features Riya Sisodiya, Freida Pinto, Demi Moore, Manoj Bajpayee, Richa Chadda, Anupam Kher, Adil Hussain, Rajkummar Rao, and Sai Tamhankar.
The trailer highlights the misery of those in the illegal trade. Two sisters-Sonia and Preeti get separated after the latter was sold off by her father. Sonia goes out in search of Preeti but finds herself stuck in the world of sex trade. But it is her determination for survival against all odds which hits you hard and leaves the audience aghast.
Earlier, the film had its world premiere at the London Indian Film Festival on June 21, 2018 in which Richa Chada was honoured with an outstanding achievement award for her performance in the film.
Now the film is all set to hit the theaters on September 14.
