New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Several leaders including President, Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik have expressed deep grief over the sad demise of Union Minister Ananth Kumar.
Union Minister Ananth Kumar’s demise is a tragic loss to the nation, public life and particularly for the people of Karnataka. Condoling his death, President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed their grief and said the late leader had ruled the hearts of his followers.
In his twitter message the President said he was deeply saddened by the untimely passing away of the leader. It is a very tragic time for his countless associates and followers, he tweeted.
Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik had expressed shock and grief over the demise of Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar.“Sad to hear the untimely passing away of Union Minister Shri Ananth Kumar.
My condolences to the bereaved family and wish they get the strength to cope with such a great loss. May his soul rest in peace,” the CM tweeted.
Expressing his condolences at the demise of Ananth Kumar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi twitted saying he was deeply saddened by the passing away of his valued colleague and friend. He described Ananth Kumar as a remarkable leader, who served the people at a very early age.
His diligence and compassion will always be remembered, the Prime Minister said. Modi described him as an able administrator and his demise is an irreparable loss to the BJP.
The Prime Minister said Ananth Kumar had successfully handled many portfolios and was an asset to the BJP and its organizations. He worked hard to strengthen the Party in Karnataka.
Prime Minister Modi said he had spoken to late leader’s wife, Dr. Tejaswini,and condoled the passing away of her husband. Ananth Kumar was suffering from cancer and died at Shankar Cancer and Research Hospital in Bengaluru in the wee hours of Monday. Union Home Minister has also condoled the death of Ananth Kumar.
