Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra gives up red light, security for vehicle


Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra today wrote to the Chief Secretary to withdraw red light on his vehicle as well as police security during tours. The veteran Congress leader said he is not in favour of these facilities.

In his letter to Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, Mishra wrote, “I am not in favour of using red light in the vehicle of the Leader of Opposition. Therefore, I am no more using it in my vehicle. I also don’t require police escort during my tours neither within the district of Bolangir no outside the district. So the police escort facility provided to me may be withdrawn.”
