KIITians bag National IGNITE Awards


Bhubaneswar: Two students of the KIIT International School have bagged the National IGNITE Awards announced by the National Innovation Foundation, Government of India on the occasion of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary on Sunday.

Anshuman Nayak of Class-III bagged the award for ideation of a smart car that would stop, if traffic rules are not obeyed and Subhra Suchismita Patel of Class-XII, who won this award for the second time, designed an intelligent rag sorting and picking machine. She was a winner with her idea of farmer shoes that could plant seeds in 2016.

Out of 55,000 ideas all over the country, covering every district, 29 project ideas were declared national winners after a six stage selection process.
