Kerala coast on alert after intel on ISIS movement, Coast Guard deployed

Kerela: Indian Coast Guard in coastal Kerela have been put on high alert after an intelligent report on ISIS movement to enter Indian waters.

According to sources, the coastal police department had received intelligence input from Sri Lanka that 15 Daesh terrorists had set off from Sri Lanka for the Lakshadweep islands on boats.

Follwoing which, Indian Coast Guard has deployed its ships and maritime surveillance aircraft around the Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands territory and borders with Sri Lanka in an operation to thwart any attempt by the ISIS terrorists to enter Indian waters.

Besides, the department had also alerted the fishing vessels and others venturing into the sea to be cautious of suspicious activities.
